GEOLOGICAL: - Agate is a banded form of Chalcedony, which in turn is a crypto - crystalline variety of Quartz, this means it is composed of microscopic crystals of Quartz. Agate nodules are roughly oval and may be completely filled with colored, banded or patterned material, or may enclose a cavity lined with calcite or quartz crystals. These bands are formed by rhythmic crystallisation, yet scientific opinions vary as to how this occurs.

MYTHOLOGY : - Over 3000 years ago, the Egyptians used Agate for cylinder seals, rings stones, cameos and vessels. When worn as a talisman, they believed it to protect the user from storm and lightning, to quench the thirst and to bestow the powers of the oratory.

HEALING: - Agate essence assists physical and emotional security and may be used with other essences to balance their effect. It is grounding, yet energetic and assists as being a general energy booster. Agate assists with the emotion of acceptance and increases ones vitality and eloquence.

Agate essence balances, stabilises and protects, it increases self confidence and imparts a sense of strength and courage. A Powerful healer, Agate is the most often used essence to boost and ground energy. A wonderful choice when the user is feeling tired and stale with life and does not seem to have enough energy to complete the work they must get through. It has also been found to bring success for business people when used in the workplace, either by placing directly on the body, passing through the aura or burning a few drops in water in an oil burner in the work place.

Agate essence facilitates the ability to discern truth and accept circumstances. Thus allowing the user to find meaning behind difficult circumstances and/or situations in their life. Providing the necessary energy needed to get through this difficult phase.BLUE LACE AGATE
