EMERALD ESSENCE

GEOLOGICAL :- Emerald varies in color from a pale yellow - green to a deep emerald green. In its natural form it has a white color streak and a hardness of 7.5 - 8. The name comes from the Greek Smargagdos, which in turn may have come from the Persian, meaning ‘green stone.' Only the finest qualities are transparent, and often the stone is clouded by inclusions. A green variety of Beryl, the Emerald’s coloration is due to small amounts of chromium and it crystallises in the hexagonal (six sided) system.
MYTHOLOGY :- Emerald, according to esoteric literature was brought to earth by the Lords of Flame from the planet Venus and was traditionally believed to foreshow future events and as such was known as a revealer of truth. Thus making it an enemy of all conjurations and enchantment’s, therefore making it greatly disfavoured with magicians who found their skills to no avail if an Emerald were in their vicinity when they began to weave their spells. For this same reason Emerald also became popular with lovers, as it revealed the truth or falsity of a lover’s oaths (although believed to work against sexual passion). The Egyptians also believed this gem to have the power of prophesy and would boil the gem and drink the liquid. Snakes were said to be afraid of Emeralds, as it was said if a snake looked at an Emerald it lost its sight, thus it was believed to protect the user from venomous creatures. Emerald was also highly regarded against evil and the plague. The most important however, was the reputation of the Emerald as a link with the divine forces.
HEALING :- Emerald essence, despite its unauthenticated origin is an important gem to anyone who works in science and healing. It is beneficial to assist overcome depression, providing inspiration and assists those in need of balance, healing and infinite patience. It also is particularly helpful to those suffering from insomnia, calming the mind and producing calm and restful sleep.
Helpful to improve both the memory and the intellect as well as increasing prophetic value. Emerald essence assists its user towards becoming an eloquent speaker. It gives wisdom from the mental plane, enabling the user to become motivated to give love and wisdom to others. It assists to sharpen the wit and quicken the intelligence, said to make people more honest, based on the belief that dishonesty is nothing but ignorance, stupidity and ill nature.
Emerald essence strengthens heart, liver, kidneys, immune system and nervous system and assists to heal inflammations. A tonic for body, mind and spirit. Assists fertility, growth, honesty and self discovery, whilst stimulating the brain and memory. Assists to develop clear sight as well as clairvoyance. Emerald essence is often used for all manner of eyesight concerns and corrections, as it has the ability to heal imbalanced emotional states, correcting concerns the user may not "want to see" and replacing them with clear insight as to what to do about the situation. Excellent for all eye problems, soak cotton wool in water, steeped overnight with Emerald or simply a few drops of Emerald essence. Placed over closed eyes for 10 minutes twice a day.
This treatment is not only for diseased eyes, it may also benefit bloodshot and tired eyes and eyestrain. At the same time sharpening the sense of sight.
Promoting love, Emerald essence assists feelings of vulnerability and promotes security. It assists alignment of subtle bodies. Enhances dreams, meditation, deeper spiritual insight, prosperity, love, kindness, tranquillity, balance, healing, patience and is a strong emotional balancer.
To begin with, healers should start using Emerald for relatively minor complaints such as headaches, asthma, scalding and the common cold. Once adept at using this essence, it can be used to cure skin ulcers, food poisoning, skin cancer and certain other cancers. Placed on the wound, particularly in essence form, Emerald assists heal bites and stings of venomous creatures.
Emerald essence assists with pain in childbirth, soothes nervous tensions and high blood pressure. On the mental plane it brings tranquillity and balance, learning and wisdom. Hindu physicians in the third century believed Emerald to be an effective laxative, a cure of dysentery and an appetite stimulant.
It may be used by anyone without any ill effects, although it is recommended not to be used all the time, only when the user feels it necessary.
Emerald is particularly beneficial to athletes, chiropractors, lecturers, masseurs, optometrists, people who work in radioactive areas and close quarters. Emeralds have an affinity with Cancer, Taurus, Libra, and the deeper color stones with Scorpio, and it is the birthstone for those born in May.
