Our Qi Gong Training Retreat Centre is located in Coconut Forest Bay in Wenchang district of Hainan  province. You can see the sea from the rooms of our Centre. The coconut forest is vast, it's famous in China, as beautiful as a painting, the air is very pure; it's warm in winter, cool in summer because it is near the sea.

Hainan people are very kind and friendly; all greet with a smile visitors who come from far away. It's very safe to live here. It's a good place to relax and practise. We say in Chinese, if the time, the place and the people are right, everything will succeed. Our surroundings along with our own work here have together developed a very harmonious and healing qifield.

Life in our Centre is just like being in a big family, comprised of students from China and around the world.  Everyone is from different cultural, ethnic and religious backgrounds, but they have gathered for the same purpose. We are working to enhance good health and long life; harmony and self-control; freedom and consciousness; in a welcoming environment providing equality for all. Within this naturally formed a qifield, which is full of harmony, happiness and vitality, it's easy for the guests to get along with each other. They learn from each other and help each other. People who spend time in our qifield find their body and mind changing effortlessly.

The qifield is very effective with any type of illness. For example, one of our guests, named Pan JiaJi was suffering from a very serious inflammation of the kidney.  He practiced qigong for two months and after a physical examination in hospital his kidney was declared normal.  Also Tang, and many others like her, have cleared their bodies of various types of cancer.  Recently one of the little daughters of a guest fell off a wall and broke her collarbone. Sent qi by the masters and students, the bone healed itself in two days. These are just a few examples.

Come to see for yourself. We welcome you into our warm friendly qigong family.  You will discover that understanding of how qigong works, together with your own practice, can heal any illness. It’s time to change your life. Come to learn qigong and experience the benefits of living in our healing qifield.

Our Centre's teamwork makes it different from other qigong centres. In our Centre respect is important, but people follow the qifield and the law of life, not one leader. People have different roles but a shared purpose. We don't like to promote one person as a famous Master, rather develop each person's abilities in their particular roles.

These stories & extracts on this itinerary are reprinted with permission from Huaxia’s website directly & are genuine stories from people that have walked the path you are about to undertake!

practitioner1.jpg (158113 bytes)My name is Zou Ping, I was born in 1973 in Yichun City, Jiangxi Province. I  lived in the countryside for much of my childhood and got lot of love from the village people.
I came across Zhineng Qigong in 1992. One day I found a qigong book on my desk, put there by my older sister. I had never heard of qigong before and read it as one might read a novel to relax, but was very attracted to the book. It lead me to walk the qigong way and my life path was changed completely.
In 1997 I was accepted into the highest level two year live-in teachers' course at Huaxia, taught by Master Pang. I graduated in 1999, one of fewer than 800 students to complete the course. I believe any sickness can be overcome if a person really builds up qigong in their mind. I don't worry about anything, because my life is improved every day through practising qigong.

practitioner2.jpg (32551 bytes)My name is Bai Quanhai. I am 42 years old. I have been practising qigong for more than 10 years. I was in business for 22 years before I decided to give up my business to join in establishing the Qigong Centre, because I felt that qigong made my life full, healthy , happy and harmonious. Qigong makes me always in a happy mood, no matter my personal circumstances. Before practicing qigong, my family and I were quite unwell. Since my wife and I began practicing, our family is never ill. When you improve your life each day both mentally and physically by practising qigong, you naturally enjoy life and happiness becomes a habit.

practitioner3.jpg (147611 bytes)My name is Yuan Zhengbo. I was born in a small village in the mountains of Guizhou Province in 1975. The village is in an undeveloped part of China and its people live a very simple life, poor but very pure and honest.  In 1999 I graduated  from the highest level two year live-in Teachers' course at Huaxia, taught by Professor Pang himself. My mind is always full of love; I love the world and human beings; I really feel that human beings are a whole and that loving others equals loving yourself. It's my desire to make the world more harmonious through my qigong!practitioner5.jpg (119799 bytes)

My name is Yue Shuqiang. I was born in 1972 and have practised qigong for more than ten years. During my childhood I liked to look up at the blue sky and imagine the endless universe. At times its beauty touched me so much I cried. As I grew, I gradually found the world was not only beauty but also ugliness and darkness. Until I discovered qigong, I couldn't find a way to deal with this. Once I began qigong practice, with my body and mind enhanced, I realised the world is in each person's heart. The happy person always can see good things in life. Similarly, the person whose mind is twisted will see the world in a distorted way. If we want to create a better world we must start from ourself; qigong provides the best way to understand human beings and the world. practitioner6.jpg (90871 bytes)

I am Patricia Fraser and am a New Zealander. I began learning Zhineng Qigong in 1999 and quickly felt a commitment to it as a life-long practice. Good fortune brought me to the Qi Gong training centre, where I found my qigong home and family. Working together to bring their stories and knowledge to Westerners is a pleasure that also helps me advance in myself. The age of the Internet means I am able to be part of the Centre whether in China or in New Zealand.

Actual case histories from students who have been taught & practiced at the centre.

zhineng qi gong practitioners.jpg (162839 bytes)Luck comes from good information

In May 1999, I was taking part in a forty-day class at Huaxia to develop people's potential, i.e. special abilities. Halfway through the class I received a phonecall from my niece, wanting me to take part in celebrations for my mother's 80th birthday. I left the class and prepared to go to my home town.
When I left the Centre I was feeling very happy because I had learnt a lot from the class. The experiments included twisting spoons, cracking an egg then sending qi to restore it to its original state, reading while blindfolded, stopping clocks and restarting them again. I was elated to think that Teacher Pang's theories were true and happy I had chosen Zhineng Qigong for my life path, because I felt this was good for people and led to harmony. Although I had practised qigong for ten years, I was the most excited I had ever been, the most in harmony within myself. So I took a lot of good information with me when I left the Centre.
When I got onto the bus to go to the train station, I felt everyone was so beautiful and kind and I wanted to smile to them all. I knew I needed to change buses to get to the train station, but when the bus emptied and I prepared to get off, the driver said he would take me to the train station on his way home. This is most unusual in China.          When I went to buy my ticket at the train station, I found there was only one train the stopped at my home town, leaving at 10:00pm. The train went from Harbin to Wuhan, and took about ten hours to get to my stop . The train was extremely crowded as many peasants, who worked part of the year in the city, were returning home to harvest their wheat. There were no seats and no room to sit down; people were crammed into the compartments and even on the baggage racks. I prepared myself to stand and repeat the eight phrases throughout the night, to help me cope. In spite of all this, my mind was still clear and positive and I saw it as an opportunity to practice my qigong.                           Half an hour into the journey a person on a seat near me said to me: younger brother, you are lucky, I have a sleeper so you can sit in this seat. Others stared at me as I sat there and thought of my qigong.                            Next morning I got off and got onto a bus. As I went to buy the ticket the driver asked me whether I was Liu Ye's uncle and I said "yes I am". He asked if I remembered him and I said no. He said that he knew me and his wife had been my niece's classmate, so I would travel free (he owned the bus himself). I wanted to pay but he refused.                         I was very happy with my trip home. All the people I met were so kind to me. When your information changes you needn't worry about anything; if your mind and body are full of good information you will be lucky in everything you do.

This story reminds me of another person whom I knew at Huaxia, called Zhao Chun Sing (whose story is in Luke Chan's book on p.72). I had a conversation with him about his experiences with qigong. I asked him to summarise his history in qigong and the martial arts. He said only four words: "feng xiong hua ji" which means "disaster can change into a good thing".

What skills & awakening potential will you develop?

Bone broken is easy to heal

Around Chinese New Year 1992, I went back to my home town of Hebei City from the Huaxia Centre. Because I was the only person from my city working in the Centre I was made very welcome by all Zhineng Qigong practitioners. I felt like a movie star amongst these qigong lovers! I was very busy: every morning and evening I led their practice; they took turns inviting me to dinner; they were interested in everything to do with the Centre. Qigong was very popular at the time.  People believed I had great power to cure illness. After practice many people asked me to send qi to them. In fact, most of them had practised qigong longer and harder than me!

One day after morning practice Mr Xu Tingshu, the leader of the group, invited me to have breakfast with him at his house. He was so keen that I couldn't refuse him. While we ate he told me of a woman called Huang Qingju who had fallen from a truck ten days before and fractured her lumbar vertebra, and asked me if I could help her. Huang had been working at the same unit as Xu.

I promised without hesitation. I had heard Pang Laoshi say in a lecture that fractures were the easiest of all things to heal with qigong. I had no previous experience of healing a fracture but I am always keen to give things a go.

Straight after breakfast we went by bicycle to Huang's house. It was nearly New  Year and every household had greetings in red writing on the door. Snowflakes floated from the sky and it was very cold. When we arrived at her house and went into her room, I found that she was lying on the bed. She was unable to move by herself at all and had to be helped by others with everything.

I drank a glass of hot tea to warm my body and relax. Mr Xu was beside her bed and he introduced me to her. He said that I was a Zhineng Qigong Master and had just come from the (Huaxia) Centre. He told her how capable I was and experienced in treating fractures. I felt as though he was introducing someone else, not me, but I didn't contradict what he said, just listened quietly.

After this introduction it was my turn! I too sat beside her bed, smiling. I felt from her eyes that she trusted me deeply. I explained that qigong was very different from both Western medicine and Chinese medicine, that qigong healing was very simple and effective, and that fractures are the easiest of all things to heal with qigong.  I stood up to start to send qi to her and told her how to move. She followed my words and began to get up. I was confident it would succeed.                 Suddenly the door opened and her daughter came in. She started to cry out:  Mum, what are you..... Without waiting for her to finish speaking, Xu pushed her out the door.       Fortunately Huang didn't take any notice of what her daughter was saying but continued to follow my instruction to get up slowly. I felt I had completely mastered the situation and told her to sit up, to stand up, to squat and then stand up. In a very short time we had success!

our healing centre.jpg (129181 bytes)The news rapidly spread amongst qigong friends....

For myself I still found it hard to believe, until she showed me the x-ray taken at the hospital immediately following her accident. This showed the fracture and dispelled my doubts.

I thank Xu and Huang. All is inter-connected in qigong healing, and without Xu's introduction to Huang and Huang's trust in me, my healing could not have been successful.

Sanya is a pretty and charming tropical seaside town, famous for its bright sunshine, green hills and blue waters, wide beaches and lovely coconut trees. This is a fabulous spot, especially for those feeling a little China weary, and the beaches here compete with those elsewhere in Southern Asia in terms of sheer beauty and great swimming.

It is known as the Hawaii of China and is famed for it's magestic beaches (Miss World pagent is held here), yet beneath the beauty lies the spiritual depth of China - many people have mystical experiences at Sanya beach & we are delighted to share some of these stories with you - including photographs of the clouds over Sanya bay forming a perfect image of Quan Yin (the goddess of compassion) as clearly as a painting.

 Day 1 - April 1st : HAINAN
Our wonderfully indulgent retreat commences today. For those that have been participating in the Healing retreat we will depart for Haikou after breakfast where we will collect our new members from their airport arrival. We travel by coach through the centre of Hainan Island to Sanya. Traveling through the highlands you will feel like you have been transported to a lost island. We will pass through lush mountainous scenery & make a stop at a local Ethnic Minority village, enjoying the beautiful folk dance and singing. On arrival in Sanya we and check into the lovely Sanya Bay Holiday Inn Hotel. www.hi-sanyabay.com. A beautiful resort with white san beaches set amongst gorgeously landscaped gardens. Some time to relax, unwind, take a dip, maybe a margarita or mocktail by the pool before we celebrate with dinner at lovely local restaurant.

Day 2 - April 2nd : HAINAN - Today is yours to enjoy, after a wonderful breakfast you are free to enjoy at your leisure the remainder of the morning, you may bathe in the healing hot spring within the hotel, read, relax, sunbake, take a massage or a facial treatment at the spa or simply take in the beach. In the afternoon join us on an amazing visit to the Butterfly Valley, followed by dinner at local restaurant

 Day 3 - April 3rd : HAINAN
A completely free day today. You may like to visit the Tea Tree spa (within the resort complex) for a massage, reflexology, body scrub, aromatherapy, slimming treatment, shiatsu, hair cut/colour or perhaps a lovely make over. The hot springs fish therapy treatment will leave you with some fascinating stories to tell.  Wander through the markets or shops or venture into town for some bargain hunting (perhaps a shop 'til you drop" day). Partake in some island hopping or simply bask in the sun in an idyllic location.

Day 4 - April 4th : HAINAN
Another wonderful breakfast with a leisurely morning. This afternoon our journey takes us to visit the fascinating South Mountain Temple and surroundings.
Nanshan Temple - On the outskirts of Sanya city, 20 kilometers west of 'the end of the world' lies Nanshan Mountain, guarded by one grandiose statue of buddasava of mercy rising up to 108 meters overlooking the sea. - Nanshan Temple was the only Buddhist temple built from scratch after the birth of PRC. The architecture of the entire temple complex was tastefully adapted to pre-Tang style, surrounded by tropical botanic gardens. Its short history does not discourage pious Buddhists and dutiful son and daughters pouring in paying pilgrimage. Because its location. South is believed to be the direction of buddisava of mercy's domain. This golden sculpture is a remarkable piece resembling modern craftsmanship of portraying her in Tibetan Buddhism style. Nanshan, the mountain on the south, is also believed to be the auspicious mountain of longevity in Chinese mythology.
We partake in the energies of the “end of the earth” believed to be one of the most sacred energy sites in China where we will receive an energy attunement to connect us with the Heaven & the earth”. Many people report mystical experiences through being here – we will share some amazing insights with you.        We celebrate with a farewell dinner at a fun local restaurant

Day 5 - April 5th : HAINAN
Time to say farewell (for now – you’re sure to want to return again), after a lovely breakfast we check out & are transferred to the Sanya airport for our return flights to Guangzhou
or other destinations in China.

2008 China Retreats & Shopping Tour
Tour Conditions of Reservation
Please feel free to take a copy of this contract for your own records - we require the original upon booking.

Important note - Any travel through Asian or 3rd world countries must be recognised that travel is still in its infancy in these countries. The youthfulness that is imparted to tourism may be some of the great appeal of such places. It is important to note that the levels of service and standards in some areas, whilst striving to do their best are not as yet comparable to more mature travel destinations.

In any country there is always the possibility that circumstances beyond our control may necessitate some changes to your programme. If you are able to be patient and tolerant in such circumstances, your holiday will be a truly rewarding experience.

DEPOSITS & BALANCE - A deposit of $400.00 (non refundable at any stage) is required upon confirmation of your booking for each tour.

The entire balance is due 90 days prior to departure. Failure to pay in full by the due date may result in the automatic cancellation of your booking. Once a deposit is received it is understood that you have agreed to the conditions of booking.

EXCHANGE RATE FLUCTUATIONS - Due to the instability of the Australian dollar, regrettably currency surcharges may be necessary. Due to the nature of our tour (where some aspects cannot be prepaid by us prior to departure) These surcharges may fall during the tour. In such a circumstance, you will be given 7 days grace in which to pay them.

INSURANCE - Insurance is not included in the cost of your tour. We recommend Aussie Travel cover & can provide forms for them, or your travel agent can assist you with this. You should be adequately covered for the duration of your travel. You are strongly recommended to take out insurance at the time of making any bookings.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS - Cancellation must be received in writing and will be subject to the following cancellation fees applied per person, per arrangement. More than 60 days prior to departure - full deposit; between 60 and 30 days prior to departure - 25% or $600.00 (which ever is the greater). 30 days or less prior to departure - 100%. Cancellation of international air arrangements will be dependant on the booking made with the airline and the airline itself.

PAYMENTS - Can be made via Cash, Cheque, Money Order or Direct Deposit to our Commonwealth Bank Account. Credit cards may be used (BC / MC / Visa) however they will attract a 3% processing fee. Cheques must be cleared before a booking can be considered firm.

AIRLINE - Renascent & The International College of Intuitive Sciences do not represent themselves as contracting with any airline or other travel agency nor do we have any other legal relationship with them.

DOCUMENTS - Tour documents, manuals, welcome kits will be issued after final payment has been received and are normally sent out 2-3 weeks prior to departure.

CHANGES - We reserve the right to alter any aspect of this tour as deemed necessary by us including hotel bookings, We will always strive for quality and this ensures that should a hotel not be meeting its specifications we can move the entire group to a more appropriate hotel. It also allows the right to amend tour content should we feel it necessary. Our choices will always be with the best intentions for ourselves and the group as a whole.

RESPONSIBILITY - Renascent & The International College of Intuitive Sciences give notice that we act as agents only for persons or companies providing or offering the means of transport, travel conveyance, accommodation or other services and all receipts, tickets, vouchers, coupons are issued subject to the terms and conditions under which transportation and services are offered.
