We are honoured to offer Usui Reiho (Reiki) in a more traditional Japanese approach without the language barriers and secrecy involved in Japan. All of the standard "Reiki" text & attunements will be taught, along with some of the more traditional & sacred teachings. We are fortunate that now in the ‘west’ we can have access to these teachings, which were once thought lost, and integrate them into our healing skills, either to advance our current Reiki knowledge, or to have a different, complementary approach to this wonderful way of healing.
‘Western’ Reiki has found it’s way into our hearts now for many years and until relatively recently many myths and misunderstandings about Reiki had not been clarified. Now we are more than ever able to have a more traditional understanding of Dr. Usui and the workings of his system of healing.
Reiki in the past was a very simple, yet gentle and loving art of healing. Although we are continuing with this ‘Western’ approach to Reiki, we are including the Japanese ‘way’ now for more in-depth understandings and slightly different mechanisms of practice. We are sure that those of you who wish to study both ‘ways’ will have a very thorough and complete understanding of both systems of this great healing art.
Eventually there may be the integration of the ‘Western’ and Japanese systems and also in the future all Reiki will include the knowledge now available from Japanese Masters through to the ‘West’. We offer a comprehensive system, so an understanding of how Reiki has been taught and received in the ‘West’ can be understood as well as how now we can include these traditional approaches.
As it is a more comprehensive system, incorporating ancient teachings & further attunements. It is now taught over 4 levels: Reiki 1, 2, 3 are 2 days each, $270 per level, Reiki Masters - 4 days $1288
Included are: basic anatomy, chakras, meridians, attunements to open to Reiki energy. History of Mikao Usui & Reiki - Principals, Ethics & Hand positions, emotional/mental healing. Learning the Reiki symbols & their use:- Power, Emotional/Mental & Distance. Send healing energy to those who cannot attend in person through distance healing techniques, Master degree attunement to strengthen the Reiki energy which allows the ability to heal others at a deeper/higher level. Master symbol & use - which together with all the others symbols forms a powerful healing system. Deeper healing principals and understanding. 4 classes of beautiful enlightenment, fun, learning, giving & receiving healing.

A new service, to assist the alignment of studies for Renascent Usui Reiki Masters & those that have studied elsewhere. By completing this weekend your teachings will be recognised as completed in the entire Reiki stream 1,2,3,masters. This will also automatically update your teacher skills should you have completed Reiki I.T. At the culmination of this weekend you will have received the additional advanced teachings & attunements now offered. Your will receive a new certificate to reflect these changes in your practitioner status.  FEE: $270

In order to ensure that our practitioners & instructors are offering the best possible services, kept “up to speed” on any changes & ensure their attunments are ‘holding’, they are required to attend an update assessment. Advanced attunements may be given & new teachings. This evening is compulsory to attend at least once every 2years to maintain recognised practitioner status  FEE: $50

Prereq’s: Reiki Masters In keeping the high standards we value in this very special line of teachings, we are delighted to offer a special evening for our TJR Masters to receive higher attunements & empowerments. There is a nominal fee of $20 (Inc, supper & notes if applicable). A chance to practice your skills, receive a healing, reconnect with other TJR Masters, update your knowledge & receive a higher level empowerment. Bookings essential.

*NOTE, changes to the Reiki streams: Previously we offered Western Usui Reiki & Traditional Japanese Usui Reiki as seperate streams. As times have changed, deeper teachings have become available and we feel as a leading teaching centre it  is pertinent for us to bring you the best possible areas of study available. By studying Reiki with Renascent (from 2004 onwards), you will cover the Western Usui Reiki methods plus more accurate teachings of Usui that have become available in modern times,enabling a deeper understanding of this great healing art.
Prior to 2004, should you have studied USUI Reiki with us, your teachings will be recognised as completed in the entire Reiki stream 1,2,3,masters by completing a 2 day “Usui Reiki Linking” seminar. This will also automatically update your teacher skills should you have completed Reiki I.T. What if I studied elsewhere? You will need to make an appointment for a meeting with Daryll Mitchell. He will discuss with you, how much of the material you have covered & offer you a pro rata time & fee for the material you are yet to receive. This will bring your teachings up to speed, without requesting payment for any material you have covered elsewhere. (Although we receive no financial payment for this service, it is one we are pleased to offer to ensure the Reiki practioners are offering the best skills & services possible to the community)
