What is a Correcting Remedy ? |
What is an Enhancement Remedy ? |
|
Correcting remedies are used in Feng Shui to redirect, realign and re orient Ch'i or Sha flow. They are commonly used to block in missing sectors of a building or an environment, to invite Ch'i (positive energy) into the home and redirect Sha (Debilitating energy) away fiom the home. Correcting remedies also include placement of objects to enhance (strengthen) sectors and directions of the homes natual energy flow or to drain (weaken) sectors that have too much of a particular type of energy. (Eg - too much water, fire, wood, etc). In the case of placing remedies on or near doors, it is better to place them just over or to one side of the door rather than actually on it. Ifthe remedy is placed on the door, when the door is opened it is unlikely it will be effective as it is no longer facing the same direction as that it was originally placed in for correction purposes.

For placement of enhancing remedies, this below diagram is most often used. By determining the sectors you or your client would most like to increase the Ch'i flow in, the appropriate remedy can then be implemented. For example, if you or your client wanted a relationship, you would look at increasing the Ch'i in the South West (Relationships) section of their home. Naturally you would begin with the obvious, cleaning up of rubbish, tidying, making the sector a pleasant place to be. Then you could add an appropriate enhancing remedy. A good choice in this situation may be a "Synchronicity" symbol or a "Quan Yin and the Dragon" (to symbolise the coming together of the Yin and Yang aspects). For the South East (Abundance, Wealth) sector, an appropriate remedy may be a symbol for "Prosperity", or a "Ba Xian". Use your insights and intuition as to what is desired in that aspect of your / your clients life and experiment with a range of enhancing remedies. There is no limit to how many you use (perhaps 1 or 2 for each sector) but remember, in order to have good Feng Shui, it must be pleasing to the eye, attractive and not too cluttered.
